You can participate in a Travel Buddy exchange by either responding to a travel buddy posting or by creating your own entry.

To respond to a posting
1. Visit the List of Buddies page
2. Email the contact person from a posting in the list
3. Negotiate an exchange directly with the contact person. We recommend that you agree to abide by the travel buddy code of conduct

To post your own buddy
1. Visit the List of Buddies page and browse through the current travel buddies for ideas on how an exchange can be structured.
2. Join the oz-teachernet website. This can be achieved by choosing the register link from the top right side of the screen.
3. Choose create a travel buddy from the drop down menu. Please note that you must be logged in for this to work.
4. Fill in the form with as much detail as possible and submit it.
5. Once you have submitted the form, your travel buddy will need to be approved by the travel buddy administrator. Should you have any problems in this process you can obtain help by emailing info@oz-teachernet.edu.au
6. If you have not joined the travel-buddy email list it is a good idea to do this now. You can use this list to talk directly to potential travel buddy partners. The link for joining is located here.
7. If another teacher is interested in your exchange they will contact you to negotiate an exchange. We recommend that you agree to abide by the travel buddy code of conduct.
8. Once your exchange is underway, return to the list of buddies and record the details. You can upload a picture of your buddy and provide a link to your web site if you have created one.
